Lake House

This week was a transformative week.  We did the ceiling on the first floor with sheet rock.
MNS drywall did the job. They are very good, very fast, just two guys, and it took em one day, nice!
Getting ready for plumbing and the walls this week.
The basic equipment for the lighting is in.
Basic electrical is done.
We can't turn the lights on yet tho, thats next week , looking forward to it, that's one of my milestones, turning the lights on for the first time.

We brought over a temporary heating system for the house.
We have a new heating system installed, however, we can't run the new one till the sheet rock and spackling is complete.  However again , its november, you better have something to keep the cold away.  In june we wouldn't do this, but the spackling won't dry correct unless the heat is correct.  So we are making moves to maintain the proper temperature.

Stone guys, Bravo Construction, finished the stone wrapping around the house. It looks great! The house is transforming into a tradition craftsman style look.  I really believe this look is classic and will be beautiful years to come. Plus no maintenance :)

We finished up the exterior trimming.  We used Azek - special composite white trim.  Completely maintenance free, it will last a long time.  Great work here by EP construction, total pros.  They have also started on the hardi-plank siding.  Its clapper siding, goes above the stone and meets the trim on the underside of the roof.  Its a cement fiberboard that comes pre-stained.  The color is already on it, no painting required.  The whole outside of the house is basically maintenance free and isn't that music to your ears and mine.

Tons of little things this week as well, lots of planning for the interior features.  I am starting to get excited about finishings.  We are scheduling and ordering.  This is part of the process that I really enjoy. Getting the house ready to go from architectural structure to a comfortable home.  Its an amazing transformation.
